The VP15 is a rugged Piezo electric accelerometer with built in low noise amplifier. It has a unique construction to provide very low base strain sensitivity and good noise performance. Not only does the built in amplifier allow the use of low cost cable between the transducer and conditioning electronics without the attendant problems of cable noise but in addition eliminates all the problems of external charge amplifier and permits re-calibration of the device should this be required.
